Pekkka Tammi is Professor of Comparative Literature at the University of Tampere (Finland).  He is the author of Problems of Nabokovís Poetics: A Narratological Analysis 1985; Kertova teksti [The Narrative Text 1992, in Finnish]; Russian Subtexts in Nabokovís Fiction 1999; and other publications (in Finnish, English, and Russian) on narratology, intertextuality, and semiotic text theory. He is currently working on a project entitled Narrative Sense, mapping the tactics for representing consciousness in fiction from a pre-postnarratological angle.
