Miriam Elizabeth Burstein is Associate Professor of English at the College at Brockport, State University of New York. She is the author of Narrating Womeís History in Britain, 1770--1902 (2004) and articles on popular history, historical fiction, and nineteenth-century religious controversy. She is currently finishing a book entitled Victorian Reformations: Fiction, History, Religion.
