Georges Elia Sarfati, born in 1957 in Tunisia, is a linguist (pragmatics and discourses analysis), a philosopher (ethics), and a Franco-Israeli poet writting in French. He is currently University professor (Blaise Pascal University, France), director of reserach at the Sorbonne University - Paris IV, and founder of the Popular University of Jerusalem. He was awarded the Louise Labbé poetry prize in 2002.
