Stephanie Trigg is Professor of English Literature at the University of Melbourne. She is the author of Congenial Souls: Reading Chaucer from Medieval to Postmodern (Minnesota University Press, 2001) and Shame and Honor: A Vulgar History of the Order of the Garter (Pennsylvania University Press, 2012). She is a founding member of the Australian Research Councilís Centre of Excellence for the History of Emotions. Her research for the Centre is founded on emotions, the face, and the cultural histories of stone and fire, from medieval Europe to modern Australia.
