Eugene Stelzig, Distinguished Teaching Professor of English at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Geneseo has published extensively in the areas of Romantic and Autobiography Studies. In addition to many scholarly articles, his books include Hermann Hesse's Fictions of the Self (Princeton, 1988), The Romantic Subject in Autobiography: Rousseau and Goethe (Virginia, 2000), the edited collection Romantic Autobiography in England (Ashgate 2009), and Henry Crabb Robinson in Germany 1800–1805 (Bucknell University Press, 2010), which was awarded the Barricelli Prize by the International Conference on Romanticism (ICR) for the year's best book in Romantic Studies.
