Dr. Angela Escott is an independent scholar and musician who writes on theatre and opera in the long eighteenth century. She has published articles and a monograph on the dramatist Hannah Cowley, and co-edited a book about collaborating women in the long eighteenth century. She is an advisory editor to the journal Restoration and Eighteenth Century Theatre Research and a committee member of the Women’s Studies Group, London.
